Thomas Rogers, Ph.D., is
the president of Family Business Success. He specializes in family conflict
mediation, hiring new employees who fit the family culture, family strategic
planning, and succession planning. Dr. Rogers is also a professional
speaker who leads seminars in team building, customer service, leadership,
and family business.
Tom’s devotion to family
business is a natural product of his upbringing in one. His efforts in
running a chain of auto/truck parts stores dramatically increased employee
morale and productivity. As a result, the operation expanded to
include branch locations and customers throughout the state of Michigan.
Tom has seen firsthand the pain
that families endure when struggling with issues such as succession,
compensation, equity shares, sibling rivalries, and lack of strategic
planning. The fact that some of these poignant challenges also
affected Tom’s family explains his dedication and passion for working with
family firms. His mission is to help family businesses avoid this
pain. Dr. Rogers’ practice focuses on developing thriving businesses
that meet the emotional, psychological, and financial needs of family
members.
Tom was honored for his work by
the Automotive Service Industry Association, which nominated him for the
Young Executive of the Year. Now he works as an
Industrial/Organizational Psychologist. Dr. Rogers authors articles on
family business, evaluation of training programs, and performance
management. Tom’s real-world management skills and training expertise
help family business owners achieve success by getting everyone to work
together at their best.
